📱 Streaming From Your Phone (iOS / Android)

Castream was built mobile-first — so you can go live with just your phone, no fancy gear required.
Here’s everything you need to know about streaming from the Castream app on iOS and Android:

🧰 What You’ll Need

  • A Castream account
  • The latest version of the app (iOS or Android)
  • Camera + microphone access granted
  • At least one destination connected (YouTube, Twitch, etc.)
  • A solid internet connection (WiFi or strong LTE/5G)

🎥 How It Works

  1. Open the app and tap Go Live
  1. Select your destinations
  1. Adjust settings like:
      • Resolution (720p / 1080p)
      • Bitrate (Standard / High)
      • Orientation (Portrait / Landscape)
  1. Tap Go Live — you’re on-air in seconds
You can stream to multiple platforms at once depending on your plan.

🔧 Features While Streaming

  • ✅ Timer and live status indicator
  • ✅ Auto-reconnect on weak networks (coming soon)
  • ✅ Stream summary screen (coming soon)

📦 No Extra Gear Needed

All you need is your phone — no laptop, OBS, capture card, or studio.
But if you want to level up, you can always use:
  • Tripods
  • Lavalier mics
  • External battery packs

🧠 Pro Tips

  • Test first using unlisted YouTube or private Facebook streams
  • Use landscape for YouTube, portrait for TikTok or Instagram
  • Keep bitrate lower if you’re on mobile data
  • Don’t forget: you can always tweak settings from Settings → Preferences
