You’ve signed up, connected a destination — now it’s time to go live for the first time.
This guide walks you through your first mobile stream using Castream on iOS or Android.

- ✅ At least one destination connected (YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, etc.)
- ✅ Camera and mic permissions granted
- ✅ A decent network connection (WiFi or strong LTE/5G)
Step 1: Open the app and tap “Go Live”
- This brings up your camera preview
- You’ll see your front/back camera feed depending on last selection
- Flip cameras, toggle orientation, and check framing
Step 2: Choose your destinations
- Tap the bottom sheet and go to “Destinations”
- Toggle ON the platforms you want to stream to
- You can stream to multiple at once (based on your plan)
Step 3: Check your setup
Before going live:
- 📶 Look at the network signal bar if wireless
- 🎥 Confirm resolution: 720p or 1080p depending on your plan
- 🔁 Choose portrait or landscape orientation
Step 4: Add title and description
Set description and title for your stream.
You can type your own description and title or use Castream AI to polish or generate using a custom prompt. For example: “I am going live from San Francisco Bay Bridge driving my car”
Then our AI will generate a nice title and description with the tone selected, you will always get 5 options for both modes, custom prompt or enhance with AI.
Step 5: Tap “Go Live” and you’re on-air 🎙️
Once you hit that button:
- A live stream starts in seconds to all selected destinations
- You’ll see a timer and a “Live” status on-screen
- You’ll see a list of destinations connected and live.
- You can move around and interact naturally — the app handles the encoding
- You can chat with your audience in all connected platforms
Step 5: End the stream
- Tap “Stop” anytime to end your session
- You’ll see a quick summary with session length, bitrate, recorded video (you can play or download it for future use)
