🖥️ Streaming from Web / Desktop

Castream lets you stream from OBS or any RTMP-compatible software and broadcast to all your connected platforms at once using a single stream key.

🚀 Quick Start Guide

1️⃣ Link Destinations

Connect the platforms you want to stream to, such as YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Pages, or Custom RTMP.
👉 Go to Destinations and connect your accounts.
  • Destinations connected in the Castream mobile app will automatically appear on web
  • You only need to connect a destination once
  • Mobile, web, and desktop streaming all share the same destination list

2️⃣ Get Your Stream Key

Use your Castream RTMP details with OBS or any desktop encoder.
👉 Copy your Stream Key from the Stream Setup section.
⚠️ Keep your stream key private.
Anyone with this key can stream to your account.

3️⃣ Go Live

Start streaming from your desktop encoder.
Castream will:
  • Detect your incoming stream
  • Activate your connected destinations
  • Broadcast to all platforms simultaneously
No manual toggling required once the stream is detected.

⚙️ Stream Setup

Use the following settings in OBS, XSplit, Wirecast, or any RTMP-compatible software.

RTMP Server URL

rtmp://ingest.castream.io/stream

Stream Key

••••••••••••••••••••••••

🌍 Destinations & Status

  • Destination toggles activate automatically when your stream appears in Live Preview
  • Destinations connected on mobile or web are shared
  • If a destination is ready, it will show as Ready
Example:
  • YouTube — Ready
  • Twitch — Ready
  • Facebook Pages — Ready
  • Custom RTMP — Ready

💬 Chat Availability

  • Chat is available only for destinations that support it
  • Currently supported chat platforms:
    • YouTube
    • Twitch
    • Facebook Pages
Once your stream is live, chat will appear automatically for those platforms.
  • Custom RTMP destinations do not support chat
  • No setup required

🎥 Streaming Software Setup

OBS Studio

  1. Open Preferences → Stream
  1. Set Service to Custom...
  1. Paste the RTMP Server URL into Server
  1. Paste your Stream Key into Stream Key
  1. Click Apply → OK
  1. Click Start Streaming

XSplit Broadcaster

  1. Go to Broadcast → Set up a new output → Custom RTMP
  1. Enter a name (e.g. “Castream”)
  1. Paste the RTMP Server URL into Server
  1. Paste the Stream Key into Stream Name
  1. Click OK
  1. Start the output when ready

Other Streaming Software

If your software supports Custom RTMP or Custom Server, use:
  • The RTMP Server URL
  • Your Stream Key

  • One account works across mobile, web, and OBS
  • Connect destinations once and reuse everywhere
  • Rotate your stream key if it’s ever exposed
