To go live, you need to connect at least one destination — like YouTube, Twitch, or a custom RTMP server. You can link as many as your plan allows, and Castream will stream to all of them simultaneously.
Step 1: Open the Castream app
- Download it on iOS or Android
- Log in or create your account
You can also sign in at castream.io with the same account to manage billing, view plans, or set up integrations — but all streaming happens in the app.
Step 2: Choose your destinations
On the “Connect Destinations” screen during onboarding, or later in Settings → Destinations, you can tap any platform to connect:
- YouTube
- Facebook Pages
- Custom RTMP
- Twitch
Step 3: Log in and approve
- You’ll be redirected to sign in with your selected platform
- Accept the permissions — this just lets Castream go live from your account (we don’t post or access anything else)
✅ Once connected, the destination will appear in your list and can be toggled on when you go live.
➕ Add More Destinations Later
You can connect more platforms anytime from Settings → Destinations. Tap “Add” and follow the same flow for each new destination.
Your connected platforms will stay saved so you don’t have to reconnect every time.
⚙️ Facebook Pages and Profiles
Castream supports both Facebook Pages and personal profiles, so you can go live from whichever suits your style.
If you’re a creator or business, Facebook Pages offer better analytics and audience tools — but streaming to your personal profile works just as well and is great for connecting with friends or followers directly.
🔧 Connect a Custom RTMP Destination
Want to stream somewhere else (like Instagram*, TikTok*, or a private server)? Use Custom RTMP.
Here’s how:
- Tap Custom RTMP
- Enter the:
- RTMP server URL
- Stream key
- Save it — and you’ll see it in your destination list
🔄 Edit or remove destinations
Head to Settings → Destinations to:
- Disconnect a platform
- Re-authenticate if needed
- Add new destinations whenever you want
